Will I be able to upload my studies from my computer?

Once you have access to the Lyfebin application, you will want to navigate to your “My Uploads” tab. Once there you will see a button that states “Upload Scans”. Selecting “Upload Scans” will bring up a dialog that will give you the option to select your studies from your computer. Point the drive or folder where the studies are located. The application will automatically find the appropriate files.

How do I share the studies I have uploaded?

You can only share studies that are in your library. You must copy studies from My Uploads, My e-consults, or My Curbside. Once in your library, you can share with a colleague who already has an account on Lyfebin or to an email. To view the studies, the user must create an account.

How does My Library work?

All studies in your library should not have any patient identification. Please email support@lyfebin.com if you notice any patient information on the study. Although we use artificial intelligence to ensure removal of PHI, It is all of our responsibility to maintain patient confidentiality.

How do I organize the files in My Library?

You can apply searchable tags with any information you would like to any study in your library. We suggest using tags that have the anatomy of interest, pathologic diagnosis, etc. The tags you use are remembered so that you can re-use them for additional studies.

Why does it take longer to upload than Dropbox or Gdrive?

From the initial upload, we apply special security measures to the study. But due to hardware differences, this can slow the upload down when uploading directly from the DVD-ROM drive.To speed up the upload, drag the entire disc to your hard drive and perform the upload from your hard drive instead of the DVD-ROM directly.

How do I use the viewer?

After clicking view files, this opens the viewer. Drag and drop the files from the corresponding series on the left tab to the right side of the viewer. The other features can be seen on the top tab.

Yes!!! There is also multi-touch support. If you have a tablet device with chrome or safari, you might find that gestures (motions that you make with one, two or more fingers) are easier to use than a mouse or keyboard.Lyfebin allows users to make use of the array of multi-touch gestures:Touch the image with three fingers and move it up and down to browse through images of the displayed series.To zoom in or out, touch two points on the image, and then move your fingers away from or toward each other.Drag the image with two fingers.Touch the image with one finger to change the window settings (brightness/contrast) and moving them up/down (brightness) or left/right (contrast).

What is Lyfebin?

Lyfebin (pronounced Lifebin) is a HIPAA secure environment for patients and doctors to view and share medical images aka DICOM files (computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, digital radiography etc.) and clinical pictures all on the cloud using next generation security.

Yes, this is one of the great many features that Lyfebin has to offer! With any study that you upload into the system you will be able to share it with your Primary Medical Doctor or trusted medical physicians.

What if I have family members do we all need to register individual accounts?

Yes it is advised that for each family member that has their own studies whom prefer not to share their information with others to create individual accounts. However Lyfebin makes it conveniently easy to have associated family members apart of 1 single account. After logging into your qualified account, you may select the “My Family” tab, and this will show you all the different studies for each family member. You can even provide a nickname to help you identify your other family members quickly.

What if I accidently uploaded the wrong study, can I remove it?

Yes, you have full control of how you manage your files once uploaded to the system. For every study you will see a “Trash bin” icon, that will allow you to remove your study for your files. However if you have shared your study with a Medical Professional he or she may have copied it for their own reference, But don’t worry there is no personal identifiable information available to the Medical Professionals of whom you’ve shared it with other than your chosen unique username.
